OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH

Occupational Health Physiotherapy Services

Our occupational health services assist businesses to reduce and prevent absence. In a challenging economical climate this can result in significant financial savings, whilst enhancing the welfare and well being of the work force.  Our Occupational Physiotherapy services can be provided in two ways:

Through working closely with your business we can create a bespoke physiotherapy service to satisfy your company’s requirements.  By working ‘on-site’ at your company premises, there is minimal disruption to the day to day dynamics of the workforce routine. Having a regular on-site service opens clear communication channels between the clinician and HR managers, allowing early referral for injury management  to ensure a quicker recovery.

  • On referral a thorough clinical assessment will be conducted, with any potential relationship between an individual’s condition and their working practices being identified.

  • Following this an accurate diagnosis will be made and a treatment plan implemented.  In some cases, a period of modified duties or workplace alterations may be required.

We have provided occupational healthcare services across a broad range of industries from manufacturing to office based business, and have extensive experience in resolving musculoskeletal ailments arising at the workplace.

We have extensive experience in providing onsite physiotherapy services to businesses throughout the UK. We use this experience to create a bespoke physiotherapy service that is specific to your business or organisations needs.

capabilities.

Our off-site physiotherapy service is designed to provide occupational healthcare to smaller companies that do not require, or do not have sufficient space for an on-site service.

We have fully equipped clinics across South Wales that fulfil the service requirements for the Assessment, Diagnosis, Treatment and Rehabilitation of employees suffering from work related musculoskeletal injuries.

Stages of the service

  • Staff with musculoskeletal injuries whether work related or otherwise can be referred to us directly by your company without prior medical assessment.
  • We aim to offer an appointment within 24 hours of referral when the client will be assessed at the most convenient clinic .
  • A report of the clients assessment, including any recommendations for management, will be provided as part of the service. This would also include advice on modified duties and a graded return to work plan for any employee with a longer term absence from work.
  • Agreements can be made on the number of appointments the client is prepared to allow  each employee as part of the treatment plan.

This service allows smaller companies an easy to use, flexible service that can be utilised only when required.

In the current economic climate where budgets are constrained and margins are tighter, this service can offer you an efficient tool in managing the welfare of your workforce whilst keeping greater control on cost.

We have extensive expertise in delivering occupational healthcare services to small, medium and large companies throughout Cardiff and South Wales, across a variety of sectors.

Occupational Health Physiotherapy services have been extensively proven to reduce the cost of staff absenteeism through illness or injury. Research shows that for every £1.00 spent on vocational rehabilitation, £12.00 is saved. In addition, the Work Foundation reports that for every £1.00 invested in wellbeing initiatives, businesses get a return of £4.00.
